It has come to our attention that there are fraudulent emails and WhatsApp messages impersonating the Singapore Food Manufacturers' Association (SFMA). These fraudulent communications may use various email addresses and phone numbers to mislead the public.

We would like to remind everyone that all official communications from SFMA will always come from email addresses bearing the domain @sfma.org.sg. If you receive any suspicious emails or messages that do not originate from this domain, please do not respond or click on any links. Food provides nutrients that give energy and growth to support life and many livelihoods. Besides air and water, food is the most important thing for living beings. Therefore, as a food manufacturing association, SFMA plays a vital role in all these factors. To intentionally address all these considerations, SFMA have partnered with SBF to embark on the Jobs Development Partner Programme (JDPP) to help the valued SFMA members towards food internationalisation and thriving in sustainable food economy.

Alex Teo has about 14 years of experiences in strategic business planning, framework development and food compliance experiences in major food systems such as USA, Thai, AU-NZ, ASEAN

As the resident ITA at SFMA, his role is to help members to evaluate their food export initiatives programme via the Jobs Development Partner Programme (JDPP).

The programme focuses on areas such as international product design, nutritional and ingredients requirements for various markets, allergen management programme, supply chain matters, international trademark and cross-border trade compliances.

Alex is currently a MSC Management candidate at UCD Ireland. He holds a B.Sc. in Management, Specialised Diploma in International Trade, and Nutrition Science, and a Diploma in Electronics. He had served in both SMEs as well as MNCs to handle food regulatory work for approximately 36 countries.

We are now offering a complimentary product review services for SFMA members by our in-house ITA who has experiences in designing products for both Singapore and international markets. This is a 1 to 1 consultation on your retail (Food) product and logistical carton.

Simply contact us here to book an appointment (Google form link) with our in-house Industry Transformation Advisor who will contact you for confirmation and consultation at SFMA.

  1. Packaging design for exports (Front and Back)
  2. Basic Ingredients declaration/ labelling
  3. Basic allergen declarations / labelling
  4. Evaluation on Nutritional Panel format
  5. Essential labelling for exports or Singapore compliance
  6. Common practices for Logistical carton design

Terms and Conditions

  1. Complimentary for SFMA members only. Limited to 1 retail product and 1 logistical carton design per year.
  2. Limited to processed food for retail only (excludes fresh food, raw ingredients, products that is packed in bulk to be sold to businesses and food supplements).
  3. Consultation session is limited to 60min and is available on a first-come-first-served basis.
