Food Product Concept Competition 2009


Food Product Concept Competition 2009 has been held 3 years in a roll creating more than 90 new products concept bringing maximum interests to our local manufacturers, the students from various IHLs as well as the public.

This year, the judging was done with a twist by hiding the names of the IHLs while they present their products to the 6 judges. This is to allow a fair judgment for all IHLs.

There were a total of 26 Manufacturers and IHLs team participating this time round.
Representatives from all 5 polytechnics in Singapore, National University of Singapore as well as ITE and not to forget, the gracious manufacturers involvement in this competition.

There are seven award categories in this year’s competition: Most Popular Award, Most Innovative Award, Best Packaging Award, Best Marketing Potential Award, Best Nutritional Value Award, First Runner up, and Grand Winner.

The judging was held on 6 November 2009 from 12pm to 6.30pm. The process was a bliss, there were no hiccups during the presentations and judges professionally judged each individual products. After the judging, there was a buffet dinner held.

The award presentation was successfully held at Asia Pacific Food Expo 2009 on 23 November 2009 at 5.30pm. The event was graced by the CE of Spring Singapore Mr Png Cheong Boon who presented the seven awards to the seven deserving winners.
